Despite Jeffrey Deitch’s controversial move to whitewash Blu’s mural on MOCA’s north wall, Art In The Streets is expected to draw a large attendance. The subject of street art is something the museum director is familiar with, being a champion of several of the biggest names while in NY. Deitch has tapped Aaron Rose to help curate with contributions from Fab 5 Freddy. The exhibition will be an amalgamation of previous shows from Deitch Projects and Beautiful Losers with a “special emphasis” on photography and film and containing shows within shows like Todd James, Barry McGee, and Steve Power’s Street Market. The exhibition will open on April 17 and will make its way to the Brookyn Museum next year. Read more on the press release here.

Levi’s is expected to bring its workshop to Art In The Streets. This time they will dedicated the workshop to the craft of film making.
