London based illustrator / designer, Peter Nencini has created a series of sculptural pieces called Handwerk. It’s a collection of objects that is half recognizable but completely unique when pulled together. The pieces fit like a puzzle containing objects that resemble a ruler with serrated edges – some with laser etching that have the look of a piano roll or Braille. It’s difficult not to ask what exactly is it for upon first glance. It’s multipurpose, Nencini explains, at its basic, Handwerk can be a game or a learning tool. But it is also an evolving art piece, Nencini gives the owners a chance to add to the sculpture adding life and a personal touch to each set. Handwerk can be purchased at Partners & Spade.
