When Michigan based all around creative dude, Geoffrey Holstad isn’t hand-lettering, illustrating or designing, he manages Cabin Time – a creative field trip into the wilderness. He describes it as a “roaming artist residency to remote places.” Cabin Time’s first outing was in January where five artists spent five days in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan at the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park. The artists worked independently and collaboratively on their projects and the result of their work was put on view at an exhibition in Grand Rapids. Based on the success of C.T. #1, C. T. #2 expanded to include 18 artists. The trip just wrapped up in Grand Marais, Minnesota with a third one planned for August. Watch the videos from C.T. #1 here. See photos from the trip here, and photos from C.T. #2 here.
