Choreographer Noémie Lafrance was invited by Bard College to create a site specific dance performance at the Fisher Center designed by Frank Gehry. Instead of having the performance on stage, Lafrance decided to have it on the building itself. The Wall Street Journal profiles the choreographer and her staff as they prepare for the performance. Rapture opens next weekend, September 25-28 and October 2-5, 2008, both at 7pm. Lafrance is best known for choreographing Feist’s Apple ipod commercial.
