Based in Basel, Switzerland, Vernissage TV showcases many art openings from around the world. Vernissage recently attended the opening to George Nelson’s exhibition at the Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein, Germany. The nine minute video tours the exhibit with curator Jochen Eisenbrand and takes the viewers through the space discussing the impact George Nelson had on 20th century design.
Videos are all available in flash but most are also viewable in Quicktime. Be sure to watch for Jenny Holzer’s For the Guggenheim in which the artist’s own writings and poems are projected onto the surface of the Guggenheim, and Leandro Erlich’s Swimming Pool now showing at P.S.1.
