March 4th should be designated as art weekend in New York. Ten days from today will see the opening of The Armory Show and along with it, six-plus other art fairs that include Art Now, Bridge, Pulse, Red Dot, Scope, and Volta NY. Squeezing into the already crowded landscape is INDEPENDENT, developed by Elizabeth Dee, New York gallerist and founder of X Initiative and Darren Flook, from Hotel, London. INDEPENDENT will be a “hybrid model and temporary exhibition forum” that will consists of a bookstore from Artbook, public programs, and nearly forty exhibitors from twelve cities. Looking through the list, Moss will also be participating. INDEPENDENT will start on March 4th and conclude on the 7th.
