There are biennials and triennials and then there are quinquennials. On May 23rd, PS1 opens its grounds to Greater New York, a group exhibition featuring 68 artists working within the metropolitan New York area. Along with works made within the past five years, the museum has also invited artists to work in residence within the gallery spaces. This exhibition will no doubt be compared to Whitney’s Biennial, it appears that six of the artist are showing in both museums, including Tauba Auerbach. Opening Day Celebration for Greater New York is Sunday, May 23 from 12-6PM, the exhibition will run until October 18.
