Interviews with James Jebbia are few and far between but Glenn O’ Brien was able to gain some insight on the man behind the incredibly successful skate brand Supreme. Jebbia’s choices made for the company transcends the typical demographic of skater kids, it’s created a new interest in the art collecting market. For the past few years Supreme’s artist collaboration with Larry Clark, Jeff Koons, and Takashi Murakami have found its way to auction houses. Interview magazine now reports that the next collaboration will be with Damien Hirst.
It will be interesting to see whether the lines in front of Supreme’s Soho shop for the latest collection will include art collectors. via SLAMXHYPE
