The accessibility of technology has given many people the opportunity to make their own movies. Couple that with the ability to “broadcast yourself” it becomes a dangerous mix. The result is a sea of uninspiring content. There are a few that rise above the rest, that defy the standard of what online video content should be, and for that we are grateful. For the next three Fridays, Rapha has teamed up with Ridley Scott Associates to premier a series of short films surrounding the spirit of cycling, beginning today with “A Throw of the Dice.” Running just over fourteen minutes long, it’s an eternity in this medium. However, the trade off is immense. The film is beautifully shot by Nick Livesey with the story recounted by Johan Museeuw, a three-time Paris-Roubaix winner. Films like these bring back what is truly important – the story. Watch “A Throw of the Dice” now, it will only be viewable today.
