Every year, Herman Miller releases a product that is rooted in its history and made available for a selected amount of time. Whether it’s a re-release of a rare design, a modification on an old one, or a new product that’s simply inspired by the spirit of the Eames, Herman Miller Select nurtures and educates the general public on the company’s heritage. This year sees the release of the Round Nelson Tray Table, a new product that incorporates design elements that George Nelson created almost a half century ago. It’s based on Nelson’s 1955 “Flock of Butterflies” clock. The table is made up of walnut and santos palisander inlays in geometric patterns and stands 17" high. Perfect as a side table for the living room. The Round Nelson Tray Table is available now until February 2012.
