Art and collectible Herman Miller pieces are few and far between. They have their Select program but only one product is released a year. So it’s particularly special when another product finds its way to the public. House Industries team up with Herman Miller Japan once again. This time applying their Eames Century Modern Font to Herman Miller’s Eames wire-base table or LTR. The entire alphabet will be individually painted on eighty tables, unfortunately none of which will make it to the US. Forty will be sold in Hong Kong at the Herman Miller Reach event on September 16 and the other Forty will be available at the Herman Miller Tokyo showroom on October 27th, coinciding with a House Industries exhibition. And for the design and packaging nerds, the table comes packaged in a wooden crate, hand printed in Grand Rapids, Michigan by David Dodde.
