Back in February we published the work of Christopher Kurtz, a sculpture and furniture designer working out of his studio in upstate New York. His pieces recently caught the attention of Gregory Krum, the director of retail for the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum, one of the best design shops in the city. T Magazine profiled Krum over the weekend stating “I particularly like things that are made by individuals for individuals, things that could never withstand the rigors of mass production.” Hand selecting individual pieces that supports his case, Krum included Kurtz’s Quarter Round Side Chair. See more of Krum’s selections in the latest T Magazine online.
