"Who is Bozo Texino?" by Bill Daniel

Juxtapoz Magazine was founded in 1994 to give exposure to a genre of art that was neglected by the established New York art world. From pop surrealism to street art, the magazine became synonymous with the scene and gave it a voice. After 17 years, MoMa has embraced Juxtapoz and have asked the publication to curate a week long film series. “All the Wrong Art”: Juxtapoz Magazine on Film will include seven documentaries beginning this evening and will conclude next Monday. Highlights include “Who Is Bozo Texino?” a film documenting the the origins of a “ubiquitous and mythic piece of graffiti” that has been scene on freight trains for over 80 years. The artists and directors from many of the films will be present to speak after the screenings.
