A scene from Page One: Inside the New York Times

The digital age has disrupted the media landscape. What took decades to build has changed in a matter of years. Publishing empires are crumbling and The New York Times is feeling the effects. In the new documentary “Page One: inside the New York Times” the director was given unprecedented access to a year inside the news organization, what emerged is a story of the challenges the newspaper faces in a time of uncertainty of its own fate. The film’s story is carried through the different players in the organization including executive editor Bill Keller, media desk editor Bruce Headlam, and the media desk reporters David Carr, Brian Stelter, and Tim Arango. The film opens June 17 but an advance screening will be held at The TimesCenter on June 14 with director Andrew Rossi, Gay Talese, David Carr and Bill Keller in attendance.
