As part of the Pacific Standard Time exhibition, David John from You Have Been Here Sometime has been tapped by Los Angeles Modern Auctions (LAMA) to create an environment surrounding the collection of Richard Dorso. Dorso was a TV executive, boutique owner and an avid collector that include works from California artist like Ed Ruscha, John Baldessari, Charles Arnoldi, John McCracken, and many others. From this collection John will design a room that will “bring together the past and present, shining a light on how Modern Art and Design is viewed in today’s current art and interiors scene.” This interior showcase will be on view for three weeks starting on September 19 and will conclude with an auction of the entire collection.
