For the past several days the NY Times has created some compelling multimedia features on its site covering the lead up to the inauguration. With audio slide shows interviewing citizens from a city block just steps away from the Capitol, to a collection of photos from people in D.C. and around the world, to a 3d map of the inauguration day schedule, the Times is adopting and embracing this medium very well.

Today is a historical day, Joe Biden is to be sworn in at 11:46 a.m. followed by Barack Obama ten minutes later.
