For months we’ve been reading about Lumberland on Best Made Co’s website. Lamenting over the stories that were told from their adventures and wondering how real this mythical place is. After months of discussion and scheduling we finally made the visit. And we’re excited to say that Lumberland is very real. Several weeks ago we tagged along with Peter Buchanan-Smith and his cohorts to escape the city for an overnight trip into the wilderness. Roughly two hours northwest of Manhattan is Lumberland. It is an extension of the office and a clubhouse for the team. A three story fort is the hub of their camp that sits on 80 acres. It’s not only a place where the troupe can field test their goods, but it’s also a place where boyhood fantasies are realized. Read about our experience as we ventured into Lumberland.
