Martí Guixé is a Barcelona and Berlin based designer formally trained as an interior designer but works in multiple disciplines, including food. Since 1997 his conceptual edible design pieces have garnered much attention, most notably his I-cakes. A cake designed as a pie chart indicating its ingredients in percentages.

Part performance, part dining, Guixé will be at Performa Hub tomorrow evening to present Mealing. The event is a three hour performance in which guests will be “given ceramic glasses with ‘edible microsnacks’ adhered to their surface and instructions for eating them.” There’s also a bit of interaction amongst individuals as part of the process.
