How often do we think about the design of a broom, tape cutter, or dust pan? Very often. Tools Real Stuff for Future Classics published by Huzine, Huge Magazine’s new publishing arm, features 282 products from around the world to make any discerning gentleman or woman drool over. Though there are high end goods featured in the book like Finn Juhl’s Pelican Chair there are a lot of modest ones as well including Fuagami’s brass hooks. Simple, but well designed. If you’re in Tokyo, an exhibition is on view now to accompany the book at Isetan’s men’s department store in Shinjuku, offering items from the book for sale. Won’t be in Tokyo? Special order the book from Kinokuniya. Don’t live near a Kinokuniya? Have a look through the book here.
