Content is king again and as a result you’re seeing it everywhere. Publishing houses are no longer the sole source of content, brands are taking the initiative in distributing its own magazines and articles whether it’s on or off line. Following other successful clothing companies such as Uniqlo and Acne, Johan Lindberg’s latest denim line BLK DNM is publishing a newsprint magazine simply called Gazette. The publication is a free-form periodical filled with artwork, essays and interviews. Issue 1 includes contributions from Waris Ahluwalia, Terence Koh, Scott Campbell and a discussion between Wes Anderson and Hampton Francher, the screenwriter of Blade Runner. Read an excerpt from Nowness. Gazette will be distributed with online orders and available in person at BLK DNM’s Pop 1 shop.
