These guys are pretty punk rock. The not-for-profit magazine, Boneshaker, devoted to bicycle culture is a self funded endeavor founded by a few members from The Bristol Bike Project. An organization set up to repair unwanted bicycles for under privilege individuals within the city. They currently aren’t taking any advertisers and once an issue is sold out, it is made available to download as a pdf. Make no mistake about its quality, this is not Maximum Rock’n’Roll, it’s full color, with a matte finish and perfectly bound. In other words, it’s ace. Though Boneshaker is based in the U.K. the contents of the magazine spans the globe. Their third issue was released last month featuring articles on artisans in Portland, Oregon, bike workshops in Columbia, and tandem cycling for the visually impaired. Purchased your copy in the U.S through Skylight Books or find a dealer near you here.
