Sometimes you don’t need words to tell a story. Pictures will do just fine. Best Made Co’s “The Last Frontier” is gorgeously captured.

The Food Book Fair returns to the Wythe Hotel. Opening event began last night and runs through the weekend.

It comes as a surprise to us that this isn’t the first in the world but only in North America. University of British Columbia is the first campus in North America to build a skatepark on campus according to Vancity Buzz.

Carrie Eddmenson, one half of Imogene + Willie, recounts her first meeting with artist Wes Lang.

Flos digs into their archives and reissues five designs from its founder Gino Sarfatti. The first collection is titled “Relighting Sarfatti No. 1” and as the name suggests, this is only the first in a series.

Dezeen’s expansion into print takes on a different approach by partnering with Blurb, the print-on-demand service. The magazine is titled Print Shift and is available now for £8.95.

Etsy continues to produce some of the best video profiles out there with their latest on David Sokosh of Brooklyn Watches. Sokosh, a former gallery owner turned to making watches by hand after the recession hit, paving a new direction in his life.

Port Magazine relaunches its site today with a streamline of content. Separating it into three parts, Features, Shorts, and Instants. Great job guys.

In a strange but well executed collaboration. Mission Chinese and Freemans Sporting Club team up to create this short film.

Taschen is aiming high with this one. Marc Newson’s new tome comes in two edition, the expensive version ($1000) and the even more expensive version ($6000) most likely targeted at Newson’s collectors.

Sanna Annukka releases three new prints in her shop continuing with her folk art inspired illustrations of birds.

graphic Modern is a new exhibition on view at Fordham University at Lincoln Center. It features works spanning three decades from 1934-1966 that includes advertisements, periodical covers, posters and other ephemeral pieces. On view now till July 26. An informal talk and walk-through will take place this Friday at 5pm.

Just like his narrative, Chris Ware’s forthcoming book Building Stories is especially unique. It’s packaged more like a box set rather than a traditional book.

Mike Mills designed a series of posters for Commune Design last year featuring past iconic works, portraits, and abstract imagery. Two are available at Standard Goods.

Artist Alex Katz will be in conversation with journalist, writer Rosamond Bernier about his latest book, Alex Katz: Maine, New York. The talk will be at Strand Books this Friday.

Similar to Fast Company, Wired has launched a design edition. They have brought together a stellar line up including Shoshana Berger, former editor-in-chief of ReadyMade, Allison Arieff, former editor-in-chief of Dwell, and Alissa Walker (Good).

Kiosk Paper is a newsprint edition published by Kiosk. There are three ways to get your hands on one. A copy will come along with any purchase online, pick one up at the store for free, or simply print out the pdf version.

The people behind Brooklyn Homesteader and Brooklyn Grange recently opened Hayseed in Greenpoint offering supplies to all aspiring urban gardener, farmers, and bee keepers.

Season 2 of Put This On premiers with a visit to NYC featuring the ‘Lo Lifes, an urban subculture that grew out from the 80s and 90s over the obsession of Raulph Lauren’s most audacious designs.

Mr. Porter’s been celebrating its one year anniversary over the past month. Starting today, they’re taking it up a notch for NYC residences. For the next week in, they’ve arranged a treasure hunt using the augmented reality app, Goldrun. Participants are guided to four destinations in Brooklyn and Manhattan, once there, the app will reveal whether you’ve won a prize. Mashable has more details on the hunt.
