While the shops and restaurants interiors in the East Coast, New York in particular, have a distinctive style that is rustic and dark, General Store from San Francisco has created a style that is refreshingly West Coast. It’s spacious and light with a refined makeshift vibe that feels perfect next to the Pacific Ocean. Since opening General Store in 2009, Mason St. Peter and Serena Mitnik-Miller have garnered the attention from locals and from around the world. It’s easy to see how. Though they’ve only set foot in NY a few times, participating in pop up shops and one off events, General Store is keeping it West Coast for now. They recently opened up their second store in Venice at the beginning of August and are now inside Freemans Sporting Club in San Francisco. We’ve had our eyes on General Store since they opened and looking forward to a visit real soon.
