Plastic versions of the Eames Elephant

On the occasion of Charles Eames’s 100th birthday last year, Vitra released the famous molded plywood elephant in an edition of 1000 in each of the two color-ways. The original elephant never went into production and was only made as a prototype. This year, Vitra is making the elephant even more accessible. Abandoning the molded plywood for something more durable, the new elephants are made of plastic in five different colors. Now kids can really enjoy them, though I’m sure adults can appreciate them as well.
