Alt retail at its finest, it’s the season for pop-up shops. Here are a few that we’ll be stopping by during the next week.

Michael Williams and Randy Goldberg return with their Pop Up Flea this weekend, starting tomorrow from 3-9pm at Openhouse Gallery, 201 Mulberry St.

This year’s Wired store moves into the old Tower Records space on 4th St. and Broadway. Like in previous years, nothing is for sale and everything is to touch. Test out the latest and greatest in gadgets and electronics. Opens today until December 26th. 692 Broadway.

Couldn’t get enough of Printed Matter’s art book fair? Ed. Varie has created an abridge version of it with their pop up book shop. Opens this evening from 5-8pm. 208 E. 7th St.

Though it’s been around since last month, we thought to mention it here. Project No. 8 will be housed in a temporary shop in TriBeCa until February 2011. 186 Duane St.

You guys should check out our kiosk in Grand Central. It features some of our favorite items from the museum shop. Combine the visit with a cocktail and some oysters at the Grand Central Oyster Bar and that's what I call an outing.
