Read MoreAnother contender for the title of “New York’s Best Burger,” Burger Joint is a small, crowded, diner tucked away in a discreet corner of, strangely enough, the upscale Parker Meridien hotel in midtown. Look for the neon burger sign, duck under the curtain and claim one of the scruffy vinyl booths inside. Then head to the counter to order perfectly crafted, mouth-watering burgers, fries, milkshakes and brownies. Don’t worry, there’s beer too, which will help convince you that the faux-old-timey decor is actually real. With burgers this good, does it matter?
