English designer, writer, restaurateur, and retailer Sir Terence Conran opened his first retail space in New York in 1999. Located on a spacious block next to the 59th Street Bridge, The Conran Shop specializes in design objects from around the word. The 22,500 -square-foot bi-level space features a selection of products ranging from furniture to home accessories. Each year during ICFF, The Conran Shop hosts events to celebrate the young as well as the legends in the designer industry. The shop has also been the launch site for many products including the introduction of the Dyson vacuum cleaners to this side of the Atlantic.
