Furniture shops have come and gone on this block of Bond Street, but Modernlink stands the test of time. William Lee’s humble beginnings started with a modest section at ABC Carpet and Home. Shoved into a corner, he eventually outgrew the space and expanded into his own store featuring his modern pieces. Lee has an eye for the best-quality Danish and Dutch modern furniture and has gathered an inventory that includes pieces from Finn Juhl, Arne Jacobsen, Poul Kjaerholm, Verner Panton and Hans Wegner. Not satisfied with stocking vintage furniture, Lee produced a collection of his own, which includes furniture and accessories. The Modernlink line’s simplicity and comfort resembles the same methodology that Lee has come to admire in Danish Modern furniture.
